We Lit It Up Blue for Autism Awareness

 

To raise awareness for Autism Allstar Edmonton was Lit-up-Blue April 2nd.

YAMAHA CL SERIES DEMO DAY

 

You are invited for a demonstration of Yamaha’s CL1 and CL5 control desks to be presented by Applications Specialist Ashley Clarke.

Date: April 10, 2013

Location: Allstar Show Industries, 1131 William St, Vancouver

Format: Drop-in, anytime between 10am - 6pm

Program: Ashley will be on hand to explore the functionality and unique features of the latest concert-quality digital audio consoles from Yamaha. The CL series features Portico Processing by Rupert Neve and the Dante digital audio platform. This platform combined with the Dante Virtual Soundcard and Nuendo multi-track software can record up to 64 tracks of digital audio on your laptop.

When Youth Emergency Shelter Society renamed to Youth Empowerment & Support Services (YESS) they needed a brand launch that captured their passion showcased their new building told the story of their updated services and celebrated their 30th anniversary. The resulting video used 3D mapping technology for the first time in Western Canada and showed the story of youth they work with using the new facility as a backdrop. The event drew crowds media coverage and is still viewed on YouTube.

 

Martin Motor Sports Trade Show Booth

 

Truss, motor’s, video display and lighting is being provided by Allstar for the Martin Motor Sports Booth(s) February 7th to 10th.

30 of Allstar’s InVision Flex 12 (12mm pixel pitch) panels are displaying client provided content via DBStar’s XMPlayer running on a laptop computer.

The Calgary Boat and Sportsmen’s Show is being held at the BMO Centre Stampede Park.

 

Break Forth Canada 2013 an Event to Remember

 

2013 Break Forth attendees were once again treated to a great experience. Allstar Show Industries provided sound video and lighting for 53 class and workshop rooms as well as the main concert stage. Located in seven locations spread throughout downtown Edmonton, venues were the Shaw Conference Centre, Weston Hotel, Alberta College, Sutton Place, McDougal Church, The Crowne Plaza Chateau Lacombe and Stanley A. Milner Library. Allstar crew managed the set-up with the help of Break Forth volunteers in a single day.

Halls A, B and C of the Shaw Conference Centre were set-up to provide sound video and lighting for three individual rooms serving classes / lectures and then opened up and combined for concerts. A concert highlight was an amazing show by Amy Grant. Read a review by Mike Ross of Amy’s concert at gigcity.ca.

Josh Schultz commented, “Great job so far you guys! Loving the sound coming out of your systems."

Barry Moss commented, “I loved the graphics on the LED walls, even if it did make photography a bit more difficult with back lighting.”

Classes, workshops and concerts weren’t the only thing at Break Forth. The trade show floor was a buzz of activity as attendees visited the booths gathering information from exhibiters. Allstar staff manned two 10’ x 20’ booths displaying sound, video, lighting and staging products. Allstar partners Panasonic and Sennheiser were also in attendance with booths and product specialists.

We are already looking forward to next year and Break Forth 2014. .

Boonstock Tops "Top 10" Festival List

 

The annual Boonstock Music Festival is listed at #1 on the Music Festival Junkies 2012 top 10 Canadian music festival list. Way to go, Boonstock! SIMONS - West Edmonton Mall

 

Allstar congratulates Simons on the opening of their West Edmonton Mall location. We are proud to have played a part in this amazing new store with supply and installation of the audio system. The system of 60+ zones is controlled by Medialon V6 Show & Media Control. Pictured above is SIMONS CEO Peter Simons.

 

Kinsmen Club of Edmonton - The Legends Experience

 

 

With proceeds raised going towards Kinsmen affiliated charities former Oiler and NHL Hall-of-Famer Mark Messier hosted the second annual legends experience dinner.

Allstar was there supplying sound, video and lighting for the event at the Edmonto Expo Centre.

3D Architectural Projection for YESS


Allstar was very pleased to partner with Incite Marketing and Studio Post to put on an amazing show for the 30th Anniversary of YESS in Edmonton.

On May 8th 2012, YESS hosted a reception and "multimedia extraveganza" to launch their new brand and thank their donors for their support.

Using two 20,000 lumen Barco HD-20 projectors, Allstar projected an amazing video piece onto the 80ft by 30ft facade of the Armory Youth Shelter in Old Strathcona.

Allstar also provided audio and building lighting for the event.

We've dramatically expanded our stock of LED video screens (or jumbotrons, or video walls, depending on your preference!). We're now one of the largest suppliers of LED video panels in Canada.

Our product line inclues panels with 4mm, 6mm, 7mm, 12mm, 18mm, 37mm, 50mm and 75mm pixel spacing. That size is the distance between each LED/pixel. The smaller the number, the more LEDs, the better the picture looks.

We carry both indoor and outdoor screens in both solid and flexible forms.
